Cameron Bebee, a 25-year-old male, was killed on January 19, 2022, in what police have described as a drug-related shooting. The incident unfolded in the 600 block of Ashley Place around 7:30 p.m., leaving not only Bebee dead but also another man, 23-year-old Shamir Walker.
According to the DeKalb County police, the violent encounter appears to have stemmed from an attempted robbery. Investigators believe that Walker, driven to the location by a woman named Briana Crawford, intended to rob Bebee. The situation escalated, resulting in an exchange of gunfire between Bebee and Walker. Both men succumbed to their injuries, though it has not been specified whether they died at the scene or at a hospital.
In the aftermath of the deadly shooting, authorities arrested Briana Crawford in connection with the incident. She faces serious charges, including two counts of felony murder, armed robbery, and felony tampering with evidence. Crawford was subsequently booked into the DeKalb County jail.
