Don Wardlaw, a 46-year-old African American man from Stone Mountain, Georgia, was found dead on January 27, 2022. His body was discovered in the driver's seat of a car that had crashed into the front yard of a home on Rockbridge Road in Gwinnett County. Upon arrival, officers found that Wardlaw had suffered a fatal gunshot wound, and his death was subsequently ruled a homicide. The investigation into his death revealed that he had been shot while driving, leading to the crash.
