Pow, a native of Thailand, primarily spoke Karen and Thai, with very limited English. She had been working at the DemKota Ranch Beef Plant for three months prior to her disappearance and had reportedly started a relationship with a boyfriend after beginning her new job.
Pah Pow was not reported missing until more than a week after she was last seen due to a miscommunication between her family and friends, each believing she was with the other.
