Death by Force

Na’kevius Petty, a 19-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on April 10, 2022, in Columbus, Georgia. The incident occurred on Fort Benning Road, where Petty and another 19-year-old, Marque Humber, were both fatally shot. Petty was pronounced dead at 7:10 p.m. at the emergency room of Piedmont Columbus Regional Hospital due to multiple gunshot wounds. Humber, who was an active duty member of the military, was also pronounced dead shortly before Petty.
