On a tragic Memorial Day weekend, the lives of two brothers were cut short in a burst of gunfire. Brian Steven Veronica, an 18-year-old Hispanic male, and his 19-year-old brother, Luis Daniel Veronica Jr., were found shot to death inside a vehicle on May 29, 2022. The fatal incident occurred at the LaCota Apartments on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard in Dunwoody, a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia. Both young men were from Stone Mountain.
