Joseph Bates, a 23-year-old male, was tragically shot and killed on December 10, 2018, in southeast Atlanta, Georgia. The incident occurred at a townhome located in the 400 block of Tufton Trail. Officers responded to the scene around 12:30 p.m. after receiving reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered Joseph Bates with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was immediately transported to Grady Memorial Hospital in critical condition, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
