Death by Force

Drevion Matthews, a 17-year-old African American male from Atlanta, Georgia, tragically lost his life on June 2, 2022. Drevion was a student at Maynard Jackson High School and was set to graduate over the summer. On the night of his death, he was shot in the Mechanicsville neighborhood of Atlanta. The incident occurred around 9:49 p.m. on Humphries Street SW. Despite the efforts of Atlanta Fire Rescue and Grady EMTs, Drevion succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
