In the early morning hours of Sunday, June 26, 2022, the life of 41-year-old Daffaney E. Parker was tragically cut short in Macon, Georgia. Bibb County Sheriff's deputies responded to a call on Leaf Court around 5 a.m. concerning a person shot during a domestic dispute. Upon their arrival, they discovered that Parker had been fatally wounded at the scene.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting were immediately placed under investigation.
Daffaney, born on November 5, 1980, was a graduate of Southeast High School and had pursued further education in cosmetology at Miller-Motte Technical College. She was a mother, leaving behind a devoted son. Her family, friends, and community were left to mourn the sudden and violent loss of a woman described as a cherished mother, sister, and friend.
The investigation into her death progressed, and soon after the incident, the Bibb County Sheriff's Office identified a person of interest. They publicly requested assistance in locating 43-year-old Rickanian Williams for questioning in connection with Parker's shooting death. For over a year, the case remained under active investigation as law enforcement sought to bring justice for Daffaney Parker.
A significant development in the case came on October 31, 2023, when 43-year-old Rickanian Tremain Williams was arrested and booked into the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center. He was charged with murder in connection with the death of Daffaney Parker. Williams is currently being held without bond as he awaits legal proceedings.
