Deputy Marshall Samual Ervin Jr., a 38-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on September 8, 2022, in Marietta, Georgia. Deputy Ervin, who had served with the Cobb County Sheriff's Office for ten years, was killed in the line of duty while serving a felony theft warrant at a residence on Hampton Glen Court.
