In the autumn of 2022, the life of 24-year-old Christopher LaDontae MacWell, an African American male from Griffin, Georgia, was tragically cut short. On the evening of Tuesday, October 18, 2022, MacWell was the victim of a violent encounter that resulted in his death. The incident, which took place at the Griffin Crossings Apartments, was quickly determined by law enforcement to be a homicide, prompting an extensive investigation by the Griffin Police Department.
