On a Sunday afternoon, what should have been an ordinary day for 24-year-old Joshua Eghosa Igbinijesu, a Black/African American male, turned into a tragedy that cut his life short. It was December 4, 2022, when the Georgia State University student found himself at a RaceTrac gas station on Piedmont Avenue, a location not far from the university's campus in Atlanta, Georgia. In a sudden act of violence, Igbinijesu was shot.
