On July 23, 2023, Xzavier Tomlin, a 23-year-old man, was fatally shot at the Dwell at The View apartments located on Hollywood Road in the Scotts Crossing neighborhood of northwest Atlanta, Georgia.

The incident occurred after Tomlin visited the residence of his former partner, where he allegedly got into a dispute with the new boyfriend. This dispute escalated into gunfire, resulting in Tomlin being shot several times in the back.
