On a September evening in 2015, the life of 39-year-old Darris Darnell Davis, a Black male, was cut short by violence on the streets of Baltimore, Maryland. In the evening hours of September 14th, gunfire erupted in the 5100 block of Arbutus Avenue. When police arrived at the scene, they discovered Davis suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead from his injuries.
