In the early hours of a Monday morning in Baltimore, Maryland, the life of Paul Hilroy Passley, a 58-year-old Black male, was tragically cut short. On August 17, 2015, in the Penrose area of the city, Passley was the victim of a fatal shooting that police believe began as a robbery. He was discovered with a gunshot wound to his head, an act of violence that marked another homicide in a year of escalating crime in the city.
