In the Cherry Hill neighborhood of Baltimore, a burst of gunfire on the afternoon of February 10, 2020, tragically cut short the life of 28-year-old Detrell Garvin. The shooting, which occurred in the 800 block of Bethune Road, was a violent outburst that resulted in a triple shooting, leaving two men dead and another wounded.
Garvin sustained a gunshot wound to the head and succumbed to his injuries the following day.
Another victim, a 41-year-old man, was also fatally shot during the incident. A third man, aged 27, was injured in the gunfire but was expected to survive.
In the immediate aftermath of the shooting, Baltimore police appealed to the public for any information that could lead to the identification and apprehension of the person or persons responsible for this brazen act of violence. At the time, authorities had not released any information regarding potential suspects or a motive for the shooting. The investigation into the triple shooting remains ongoing, and as of now, no arrests have been publicly announced in connection with the deaths of Detrell Garvin and the other deceased victim.
