Ray Davis, a 29-year-old cab driver, was tragically murdered on April 11, 1962, in Oceanside, California. Originally from Michigan, Davis had moved to Oceanside with his brother in January 1962 after separating from his wife. On the night of his death, Davis radioed his dispatcher to inform them he was taking a fare to South Oceanside.
