Edgar Sanchez Rios, a 15-year-old from Oceanside, California, tragically lost his life on March 13, 2013, in a shooting at Libby Lake Park. The incident also claimed the life of 13-year-old Melanie Virgen and left two other teenagers seriously injured. The shooting occurred around 9 p.m. near a makeshift memorial for two other teens who had been killed in the park two years earlier.
