Daniel Meredith, aged 52, was tragically murdered on January 27, 1978, in Sacramento, California. His death was part of a gruesome spree carried out by Richard Chase, who became infamously known as the "Vampire of Sacramento." On that fateful day, Chase also murdered Evelyn Miroth, her 6-year-old son, and her 22-month-old nephew. The horrific nature of these crimes shocked the community and drew significant media attention.
