Yonas Mehari, a 17-year-old student from Berkeley High School, tragically lost his life on November 24, 2006, in Oakland, California. Yonas was one of three victims in a horrific triple homicide that occurred on Thanksgiving Day. The incident took place at an apartment complex on the 5300 block of Telegraph Avenue, where Yonas was attending a family gathering.
