McDonald Carey, a 44-year-old man, was tragically shot and killed on December 17, 2011, in the Florence-Firestone area of California. According to the Los Angeles County coroner's records, the incident occurred in the 1500 block of 81st Street. Carey was attending a party when gunmen began shooting outside the venue around 7:20 p.m. He was one of five individuals struck by gunfire from a large sport utility vehicle.
