Fernando Uriel Arroyos, a 27-year-old off-duty Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officer, tragically lost his life on January 10, 2022, in the Florence-Firestone neighborhood of Los Angeles. Arroyos was fatally shot during a robbery while he and his girlfriend were looking at homes in the area. The incident occurred near 8711 Beach Street, where Arroyos was confronted by a group of men who intended to rob him.
