Death by Force

Emanuel Padilla, a 24-year-old Latino, was fatally shot on July 22, 2012, in Wilmington, Los Angeles. According to the Los Angeles County coroner's records, Padilla was in an alley with another man when a car pulled up and opened fire. Both men were shot multiple times in the upper body. Padilla was taken to the hospital, where he later died, while the other man survived but was unable to speak to investigators due to his injuries.
