On April 11, 2024, 14-year-old Alexander Aldana was fatally shot in South Los Angeles. The incident occurred around 10 p.m. near the intersection of Alameda Street and Century Boulevard, in the parking lot of a strip mall. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a gunfight erupted in the area, and Alexander, behind the wheel of a Cadillac SUV, attempted to flee the scene.
