On May 9, 2023, 40-year-old Juan Patino Rodriguez was fatally shot in Commerce, California. Deputies responded to reports of a man beneath a cargo trailer in the 6500 block of South Flotilla Street around 3:00 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered Rodriguez with a gunshot wound to the upper torso; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner classified the death as a homicide, citing the cause as a gunshot wound to the back.
