Ramiro Almaguer-Perez, a 55-year-old Latino, was tragically shot and killed on April 30, 2014, near Wilshire Boulevard and South Burlington Avenue in the Westlake area of Los Angeles. According to the Los Angeles County coroner’s records, Almaguer-Perez was driving a red scooter west on Wilshire shortly after 1 p.m. He had stopped at a stop sign when a small white car pulled up behind him.
