Jose Augusto Caceros, a 41-year-old Latino, was tragically shot and killed on October 25, 2009, in Wilmington, Los Angeles. The incident occurred around 1:15 a.m. as Caceros was climbing the steps to his girlfriend’s home in the 400 block of Gulf Avenue. He was delivering food to his girlfriend when he was approached by an unknown assailant who opened fire. The assailant fled the scene immediately after the shooting.
