Art Danny Gomez, a 31-year-old Latino, was fatally shot on November 30, 2011, in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles. According to the Los Angeles County coroner's records, Gomez and Jesus Rendon, a 36-year-old Latino, were standing outside a house in the 2100 block of City View Avenue shortly after midnight when five unknown men approached them.
