Luther Bernard Magee, a 47-year-old man, was tragically shot and killed on July 8, 2015, in the Vermont Knolls neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. According to the Los Angeles County coroner’s records, Magee was walking east on West 77th Street when a dark sedan approached him. A person exited the vehicle and opened fire, fatally wounding Magee. He was pronounced dead on the sidewalk at 3:56 a.m. Witnesses reported hearing gunshots and seeing the vehicle speed away from the scene.
