On June 17, 2023, at approximately 4:20 p.m., 41-year-old Lenin Muñoz-Lumbi was fatally shot in the North Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles. The incident occurred in the 8600 block of Parthenia Place, near Burnet Avenue. A 911 caller reported hearing gunshots and discovering Muñoz-Lumbi lying on the street. Upon arrival, Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officers pronounced him dead at the scene.
Witnesses described the suspect as a man in his 20s, wearing a black hat, white t-shirt, and gray sweatpants. He was seen fleeing the scene on an electric scooter.
As of now, there have been no reports of arrests related to this case. The LAPD continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding Muñoz-Lumbi's death and is actively searching for the suspect. Authorities have urged anyone with information to come forward to assist in apprehending the individual responsible for this crime.
