Death by Force

Emmanuel Sosa, an 18-year-old Latino, was tragically shot and killed on June 23, 2015, in Wilmington, Los Angeles. The incident occurred around 11:25 p.m. while Sosa was hanging out with a friend in the front yard of a home on Eubank Avenue. According to the Los Angeles County coroner’s records, a person walked past them, then turned around near the curb and began shooting. Sosa was struck by the gunfire and was subsequently taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:59 p.m.
