Jarrell Foster, aged 28, was tragically killed in a shooting that took place on December 5, 2016, on Interstate 55 in south St. Louis, Missouri. The incident occurred around noon, forcing a closure of the southbound lanes of the highway. Jarrell had been driving a black pickup truck when a light-colored, newer model sedan, possibly a Nissan, with tinted windows and chrome wheels began pursuing his vehicle.
