Alfonso Palomares, a 40-year-old Latino, was fatally shot on October 9, 2016, in the Chesterfield Square neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. According to the Los Angeles County coroner’s records, Palomares was on the sidewalk near his home on the 5700 block of Ruthelen Street when a person approached him and opened fire.
