Danny Joseph Roberts, a 26-year-old resident of New Orleans, was fatally shot on May 11, 2011. He was a member of Local 3000 of the International Longshoremen's Association, working as a longshoreman in New Orleans. He left behind two children, Dannisha and Danny Roberts Jr., as well as a large family, including his parents, siblings, and companion.
