On September 29, 2012, 60-year-old Jose King was fatally shot in New Orleans, Louisiana. The incident occurred on Leonidas Street in the NOPD's Second District. Police officers responded to reports of gunfire at around 9:53 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered King with gunshot wounds. Despite emergency medical efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene by Emergency Medical Services (EMS).
