Darrelle Scales, a 44-year-old resident of Contra Costa County, was fatally shot on August 19, 2020, in the Tenderloin neighborhood of San Francisco. The incident occurred in the 800 block of O'Farrell Street, where officers found Scales on the sidewalk suffering from a gunshot wound.
