Wayne Chan, aged 56, tragically lost his life on June 14, 2017, in a shooting incident at a UPS facility in San Francisco, California. The incident occurred during a morning meeting at the facility, where Jimmy Lam, a fellow UPS employee, opened fire on his colleagues. Lam used a stolen, illegal assault-type pistol to carry out the attack, which resulted in the deaths of Wayne Chan, Benson Louie, and Michael Lefiti, and injuries to two other employees.
