Death by Force

Alvin Hogan, a 39-year-old resident of Oakland, California, tragically lost his life on the night of October 15, 2020. The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. in the 1400 block of 89th Avenue in East Oakland. Hogan was fatally shot during a violent episode that also left two other individuals wounded. The Oakland Police Department responded to the scene following an activation of the ShotSpotter gunshot detection system. Despite their efforts, Hogan succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
