Edwin V. Churchill, a 34-year-old patrolman with the New York City Police Department, tragically lost his life on August 21, 1931, in the Bronx, New York. On that fateful day, a holdup occurred at 712 East 133rd Street, where two bandits attempted to rob a fur company.
