In the Morrisania neighborhood of the Bronx, a 23-year-old man named Damian Nunez lost his life in a violent encounter on the night of January 16, 2014. Reports from the time indicate that Nunez was discovered inside his residence at 905 Tinton Avenue with multiple gunshot wounds to his head and upper body. He was pronounced dead at the scene. One account of the incident stated his age as 25.
