In the Bronx, a borough known for its vibrant energy, the life of a young man was tragically cut short in the spring of 2021. Abdessamad Essafoui, a 23-year-old male, was fatally shot on May 6, 2021. The incident that led to his untimely demise unfolded in the afternoon, around 3:00 PM, on Cruger Avenue near Lydig Avenue. Essafoui was discovered by police with a gunshot wound to his chest and was immediately transported to Jacobi Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.
