Police Officer Norman R. Cerullo, aged 29, tragically lost his life on April 2, 1978, in Brooklyn, New York. Officer Cerullo, along with his partner Officer Christie D. Masone, was on duty when they stopped two suspicious men in front of 660 Willoughby Street. Officer Cerullo exited the patrol car to speak with one of the suspects, while Officer Masone remained in the vehicle to speak with the other.
