Christopher G. Hoban, a 26-year-old New York City Police Department officer, tragically lost his life on October 18, 1988, while working undercover in Manhattan. Hoban, along with another undercover officer, Michael Jermyn, entered an apartment on West 105th Street to make a narcotics purchase. During the transaction, the suspects began to suspect that Hoban and Jermyn were police officers.
