On a Tuesday in early June of 2011, the life of a young law enforcement officer was tragically cut short in the small community of Knoxboro, New York. Kurt Wyman, a 24-year-old male deputy with the Oneida County Sheriff's Office, responded to a domestic disturbance call that would ultimately place him in the line of fire. The call, which came in on the evening of June 6th, escalated into a lengthy standoff with a man who had barricaded himself inside his garage.
