On October 3, 2023, at approximately 6:15 PM, 48-year-old Karl Jones was fatally shot multiple times while seated in his vehicle on Schwartz Street near Jefferson Avenue in Rochester, New York. The assailant, believed to be on foot, approached Jones's car and opened fire, striking him in the upper body. Jones was promptly transported to Strong Memorial Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
