Death by Force

West Precinct officers responded about 11:30 p.m. to a home in the 1700 block of Pearson Avenue in the southwest part of the city. They found the victim in the backyard with a gunshot wound to the head.

Hospital. Police today identified him as 27-year-old Kendrix Smith.
