On an April afternoon in 2014, a violent encounter in Rochester, New York, claimed the life of 49-year-old Ronald Stern, a male resident of nearby Holley. The events unfolded on Genesee Street, where Stern and an acquaintance, Earl Cartwright, were shot. While Cartwright survived his injuries, Stern was found deceased in the parking lot of a Family Dollar store, having driven there after the shooting.
