In the spring of 2014, a young man’s life was cut short on a street in the Bronx. Nineteen-year-old Quashawn Thomas was fatally shot on the evening of Sunday, May 11th. The incident occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m. in the Williamsbridge neighborhood, specifically in front of a building on East 215th Street, near Barnes Avenue and just a short distance from the Agnes Haywood Playground.
