In the spring of 2016, a burst of violence cut short the life of a young man in the Bronx. Nineteen-year-old Jordan Brooks was found with a gunshot wound to his head in the third-floor hallway of his apartment building on Randall Avenue in the Soundview Houses on the night of Sunday, April 17th. The incident occurred at approximately 10:30 p.m. Emergency responders rushed him to Jacobi Medical Center, but his injury proved to be fatal, and he died the following day.
