In the early hours of a summer morning in Brooklyn, 17-year-old Beverly Turner's life was tragically cut short in a hail of bullets. On July 13, 2014, at approximately 1:20 a.m., she was shot multiple times in front of a row house in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood. The young woman, who was from East New York, was struck in her head, neck, and arm. Emergency responders rushed her to Kings County Hospital, but she succumbed to her injuries.
