In the light of a Brooklyn morning on January 12, 2015, a burst of violence shattered the calm on a street in the East Flatbush neighborhood. Delroy Browne, a 27-year-old man, was shot in the torso in a brazen, broad-daylight attack. The incident occurred shortly after 10 a.m. near 1364 New York Avenue, the very block where Browne resided.
